Humans since 1982

Biography

Humans since 1982 is a Stockholm-based studio founded by Bastian Bischoff and Per Emanuelsson in 2009. Their diverse and complex practice spans art, design, and technology, defying easy categorization. They are best known for their kinetic sculptures, A million Times and ClockClock, which subvert clocks by presenting them as art objects.

The studio's interdisciplinary team comprises international specialists including programmers, designers and technicians who collaborate to take the artwork from concept to realization. If your aspirations extend beyond the reach of the catalogue let your vision guide them. The result is a bespoke artwork totally suited to you and your space.

Humans since 1982 have been exhibited worldwide at leading museums, fairs, and institutions including Somerset House (UK), National Museum of China (CN), Salon Art and Design (US), Art Wuzhen (CN), Art Miami (US), Verbeke Foundation (BE), Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum (US), Luxembourg Biennale (LU), Phillips de Pury & Company (US), San Francisco Museum of Art & Design (US), Design Miami/Basel (CH).
